What's Jane without Jane?

Jane Pratt steps down as the editor of Jane Magazine. It's kind of a relief, actually. What started out as a magazine with a true voice, interesting articles and vibrant writing had morphed in recent months into an ad-heavy, anorexic model-packed, sad attempt at replicating Lucky. All in the name of adverti$ing.

Looking forward to what Pratt will do next.

my thoughts exactly. It's like Jane and Claire Danes get a permanent pass of coolness.

i think it was fairly well-known to insiders that pratt had become merely a figurehead during the sassy daze.

it's sad that LUCKY has surpassed JANE mag, but not surprising -- it's done by SASSY alums.
